Shane Lamb
Alaskan Artist & Photographer
Over the past 35 years, Shane Lamb has become one of Alaska’s top artists and photographers.
Shane received his formal art training from Brigham Young University, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1990. Since then he has dedicated his professional life to the Alaska he knows, drawing inspiration from the land he considers one of nature’s most beautiful. His art and photography are the culmination of many hours spent in the field studying and experiencing each subject.
Through his use of beautiful color, combined with a strong sense of light and composition, he captures work with a mood and realism that sets it apart.
Each year Shane Lamb contributes his work to many important causes. He has been chosen as “Featured Artist” for many of Alaska’s most prominent fundraising events.
His work has been commissioned by various corporations, including The Alaska Railroad, The Alaska State Fair, KAKM Channel 7, British Petroleum, and the 1% for Art Program for the State of Alaska. His painting “Where Men and Trains Seem Small” was selected to hang in the Anchorage Museum of History and Art's “All Alaska” Juried Art Exhibition.
Shane Lamb’s limited-edition giclee prints, giclee canvases, and metal prints can be found in galleries and private collections throughout Alaska and the U.S.
